Sales Policy

Please read MBB's sales agreement below before inquiring. This applies to everyone if read or not.

Pricing is reflected not only for the bunny- including feed/litter costs, cleaning supplies, medications, enrichment (toys/treats/etc), the amount of time and care,  lifetime breeder support, & so much more.  

Pet Only Policy

Bunnies that are purchased without pedigree and breeding rights must not be used for breeding purposes. Spaying and neutering is highly recommended but not a requirement. Legal action will be enforced if failed to follow MBB's pet-only contract.

Breeding Rights Policy

Bunnies that are purchased with pedigree and breeding rights has MBB's permission to use in a breeding program. Backyard breeders will not be tolerated.

I have the RIGHT to decide if I choose  not sell a bunny. I can be picky to on where my bunnies go. I may ask questions regarding why you want to add furry new addition, and what environment you may keep him/her in. If you have adopted a bunny and I decide later to hold that baby back for my program, I will offer you a full refund of your deposit. If I decide that your family is not the right fit for a bunny, MBB has the right to not grant you permission to own one of my bunnies. This is a very rare occasion, as most of my adopters are amazing people and offer a loving home. However, keep in mind that things do happen such as one of my herd bucks falls ill or one of my does stops producing. I will decide if I need to hold back one of the babies as a replacement.

MBB's waitlist families will have first pick of the available bunnies. To be added to our waitlist, please visit the Waitlist page.. Should any bunnies not reserved will be posted on the Available Bunnies page at 8pm CST on their given reservation date. You may find more information on reservation dates on the Nestbox Babies page. The babies will be 5-6 weeks old when they are posted for reservations. This is so I can ensure overall health, quality, & genders. MBB cannot guarantee genders. 

I will have several photos of the bunnies available with a name, color, breed, gender, parents, date of birth, pet price, pedigree price, and leaving date of each one. The bunny's total price or a 50% deposit is required in order to reserve a bunny. Additional payment options that I can accept includes Zelle, Venmo (friends), Cash, or Invoice via email.

Pedigree paperwork & breeding rights is an additional cost. There will be an option to add a pedigree to a bunny of potential. Not all bunnies will have this option.

All bunnies must be paid in full before they leave my care. All bunnies listed display their full adoption prices. However, I am happy to work with my adopters on the reservation process. If you prefer to reserve a bunny of choice with a 50% deposit, please contact me directly. I also accept Zelle, Venmo, Cash, or invoice via email. The remaining balance would be due upon pickup. Once I receive a deposit, I will send you a personal confirmation email. (I am not responsible if my emails are sent to your junk/spam folder. I recommend adding my email to your contacts.) The bunny will then be marked as reserved to you and will no longer be available for other inquires. I will keep you updated with weekly photos and videos until pickup. After the deposit is placed, there is no switching or changing to a different bunny. So make sure that you are in love with the bunny you pick! 

**Keep in mind that MBB is a CLOSED Rabbitry. Meaning that I do NOT allow visitors to see my rabbitry. This is for the safety of my animals as well as family & personal property. I am happy to schedule a public viewing of a max of 3 bunnies of choice. A convenience fee of $15 is required prior to meeting at our local pickup location. 

Please be patient as I have several families to update at a time. MBB is a one gal show who also has a full time job. I try to take the best quality photos and videos of all angles to share with their new family so you have an idea of how he/she looks as well as personality. You will get updated photos & videos at least once a week.**

Once a payment is placed, you decide that you can not take on a bunny anymore (emergencies/unexpected plans) MBB will NOT issue a refund by any means and will put the baby up for reservation again. However, you will not lose your credit. I am happy to move your credit to reserve another baby in the future. Your credit will only be applicable for 6 months. If failed to inquire on a bunny within 6 months, your credit will be forfeited.

If the adopter fails to pick up the bunny on the agreed upon time with lack of communication, your deposit will be forfeited and the bunny will become available for reservations again.

It is very difficult to sex a bunny at such a young age. I try my best to get the genders correct, but mistakes do happen. I expect my adopters to check the bunny(s) for any gender mishaps upon pickup. I am not obligated to refund or exchange a rabbit due to this error once they leave my care, yet I am happy to offer a replacement if the "Gender Fairy" arrives upon pickup.

The health & temperament of my bunnies are top notch to the best of my knowledge & belief upon pickup. I do highly advise that the adopter schedule an appointment with a rabbit savvy veterinarian within 72 hours of pickup to examine your bunny(s). The refusal to see a veterinarian within 72 hours will void the health guarantee. Being a bunny lover, I do take reasonable precautions to ensure that your bunny(s) are healthy & happy upon pickup. By adopting a bunny, you are agreeing to the responsibilities of owning a bunny. 

72 Hour Health Guarantee

It is the adopters responsibility to have an appointment to see a rabbit savvy veterinarian within 3 days of pickup. Contact me immediately if your bunny was diagnosed with any health concerns. I am happy to offer a full refund of the bunny's adoption price or a replacement of equal value, unless other arrangements were mutually agreed upon. It is the adopters responsibility to cover the difference if wanting a bunny of higher value. Bunnies are prey animals and are very good at hiding illnesses & injuries. If the baby passes away or falls ill from a result of neglect, improper care, heat stroke, rough handling, or a fight with another rabbit/animal, I will not replace or refund your bunny as these situations are out of my control. If your bunny has an emergency health concern within the first 6 months of pickup, please contact me to help you make the best course of action for your bunny. Please keep in mind that MBB is not responsible for any veterinary or extra non-medical expenses once the bunny leaves my care. If you adopt a bunny wheres the price is waived, the health guarantee is void.

So many things can be stressful for a bunny. Such as traveling, loud & chaotic noises, extreme temperature changes, a change in housing, new smells & routines. I recommend bringing a closed in crate with a blanket & hay for the ride home. I also highly encourage to leave the bunny in a quiet & calm space with limited handling for the first couple of days to make the transition a bit easier. The transition can be very stressful for a baby bunny.

MBB will NOT issue a refund if you find that the bunny is not fit for your family or they can no longer care for it. It is your job to train your new bunny. Just like a cat or dog, they are a BIG responsibility! In captivity, bunnies can live up to 8-12 years! They are definitely not a beginner pet, especially for younger children. It's important to consider that bunnies are prey animals and can take time to gain their trust and to form a bond with them. 

Bunny Returns:

If you decide that you are no longer able to keep your bunny, MBB will always be happy to take my bunnies back. MBB does not issue refunds by any means. Your credit will be forfeited if you decide on another bunny at a later date. The bunny will be quarantined and back up for reservations.

Refunds:

If the bunny becomes ill, passes away in our care, changes genders upon pickup, or if veterinary documentation proves a bunny is ill prior to pickup, we will issue a refund minus the 3.2% transaction fee or offer you a replacement.
